The Doctors Waimauku

Welcome to our practice

We are a well established family general medical practice in the Waimauku community with the same excellent team of dedicated GPs and practice nurses.  It is our aim to provide quality individual and family health care, with a focus on the importance of a strong relationship between patient and healthcare provider. We are part of a family of practices including The Doctors Silver Fern only 120m walk away in Waimauku and The Doctors Huapai medical centre in the next town. We are also proud to be Cornerstone Accredited.

Consultations are by appointment only and we appreciate your understanding that as a rural practice, sometimes there are delays due to urgent medical need or emergencies. In addition to standard services we also offer driving medicals, family planning and pregnancy, sexual health, and pharmacy.  The Waimauku Village Pharmacy, owned and operated by Robbie Hannon, employs a skilled group of pharmacists and technicians to give advice and dispense medication Monday to Friday. Robbie also has a full retail Pharmacy next door to the The Doctors Silver Fern

We are a COVID-19 Testing Station, all welcome

In Alert Level 1 our consults are in person and through phone or video. Phone 09 411 8094 to book an appointment or if you have questions. To ensure everyone gets the help they need, and stays safe, we'll be screening all appointment requests which may involve calling you back with more details.

We’re providing our service in a new way to ensure you and your whanau remain safe through COVID-19. When you phone or visit the clinic we'll ask if you have any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms or if you're concerned about COVID-19. This doesn't mean we think you have coronavirus, it's our part in helping keep our community safe and healthy.

We do COVID-19 testing and our practice is safe to visit

Safety is our priority. We do COVID-19 testing in your car where possible or in an isolation room if an assessment is required. This means there's no additional risk to you when you visit for other medical issues. We have strict infection prevention standards in place.
