Patient Fees

About Our Fees

The Cost of Health Care

Providing health care services does unfortunately come at a cost, including wages, building costs and medical supplies.

We do however understand that health care can be expensive, and we will always endeavour to ensure you are benefiting from any funded services that you are eligible for.  Healthcare in New Zealand is a mixture of free services and subsidised services (where you pay a fee to cover some of the costs).

Free and subsidised care is only available to New Zealand residents, with exceptions in some cases for visitors from countries like the UK and Australia. (This is because these countries have reciprocal agreements with New Zealand.)

Please ask our reception team if you think you may be entitled to a funded service for your visit.

Useful Information About Our Fees

  • Payment is due at time of consultation
  • All non-enrolled patients will be required to pre-pay for services
  • Some services will incur additional fees depending on the time and nature of your visit
  • A standard GP consultation is 15 minutes - please book a double appointment if you have lots to discuss
  • There may be a charge for any additional time with the doctor
  • Our practice nurses are skilled professionals and there is a fee when you see them for advice or services
  • If you are enrolled with us and your matter is not ACC related or acute, it is more beneficial for you to be seen in a GP appointment.  If we can offer you a GP appointment within 24 hours, we encourage you to book this as it will be cheaper for you
  • Additional procedure charges may also apply
  • If you have a Community Services Card, you may be eligible for a reduced consultation or prescription fee

Our Team

  • Dr Martin Hadler

    Dr Martin Hadler

Urgent Care Doctor & GP (MB ChB 1985 Otago, MRNZCUC, Dip Paeds.)

I am the Hibiscus Coast very own Doc Martin - not as grumpy, but definitely as knowledgeable!

I have practiced Medicine for over 30 years, and still have a passion for it and a spring in my step!  I love being a Doctor and caring for people.

I have spent most of my years in Emergency and Urgent Care, but extended my range ten years ago to also practising Family Medicine.  Having treated lots of sick kids in ED, I honed my Paediatrics skills in Sydney so I could keep our children well.  Being a parent and grandparent has given me a special interest in Paediatrics.  I have also had a lifelong interest in sport and fitness, providing medical cover for the NZ Ironman for five years, and also looking after several rugby teams, and I am currently on the staff for North Harbour.  In addition, I have a keen interest in Skin Cancer, and I am on the Waitemata DHB books as a GP Surgeon.

I am excited to be part of the team at Red Beach, and I look forward to meeting you and your families, and caring for our amazing community.

  • Faye Clarke

    Faye Clarke

    Medical Centre Manager

I have spent a number of years in primary care, and my health care journey started on the Hibiscus Coast over 10 years ago.  I have since worked on the North Shore, and before joining the team at Red Beach in September 2018, I spent four years as the practice manager at a large West Auckland medical centre.

I have a passion for health care and making a difference, and I strive to provide a high level of support, to the environment in which I work, it's team members, and the patients we care for.

I enjoy the challenges that a busy clinic like Red Beach brings!

I love travelling with my husband, and like getting lost in a good book.  I have two lovely grown-up daughters, and more recently have been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter!

  • Dr Patch Graham

    Dr Patch Graham

GP & Urgent Care Doctor (MB BS, FRNZCGP, DA, Dip Obst)

Dr Patch Graham works with our GP team Monday to Friday, and also works in our Urgent Care Clinic.

Born in the UK to a five generation family of GPs, I ran away to New Zealand in 1982, starting out as a medical officer and anaesthetist at Taumarunui Hospital.  Following 20 years in my own practice in Richmond, Nelson, I have spent the last decade in Auckland, initially working with accident and medical clinics and latterly as a medical officer for a developing specialist residential care practice.

I now live in Whangaparaoa, which means a new challenge with The Doctors Red Beach, and hopefully less time fighting against the traffic!

Away from work, I love to sail and hope the Peninsula will provide some new opportunities for that.  I have four boys, some now overseas, and I am enjoying setting up a new home here with my wife, Louise, and two Shitzu-Poodle 'fur kids'.
