Welcome to our practice - we are a satellite clinic of The Doctors New Lynn  

Now we are back in Alert Level 2 so our practice is open and both face-to-face and phone consultations are offered.  Please stay home if you have any flu like symptoms and call to speak to our Registered Nurse.  We also encourage patients to wear a face mask when visiting our medical practice to protect themselves and their community. 

Please note we are closed at 3pm on Thursdays.  

As a satellite clinic of The Doctors New Lynn all patients enrolled at The Doctors Golf Road are always welcome at New Lynn medical centre and can visit for after hours care until 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm weekends and public holidays. 

COVID-19 Notice: In Alert Level 1 our consults are in person and through phone or video. Phone 09 817 5442 to book an appointment or if you have questions. To ensure everyone gets the help they need, and stays safe, we'll be screening all appointment requests which may involve calling you back with more details. Please be mindful when our community moves to level 3 or level 4 our Golf Road clinic has the potential to be closed to ensure the wellbeing of our patients, staff and community. In this situation our Golf Road doctors provide their consultations at our New Lynn medical center.  All patients are COVID-19 screened prior entry to our New Lynn medical center - if you have any flu like symptoms please arrange a phone or video consultation.

We’re providing our service in a new way to ensure you and your whanau remain safe through COVID-19. When you phone or visit the clinic we'll ask if you have any cough, cold, or flu-like symptoms or if you're concerned about COVID-19. This doesn't mean we think you have coronavirus, it's our part in helping keep our community safe and healthy.

Safety is our priority. We do COVID-19 testing in your car where possible or in an isolation room if an assessment is required. This means there's no additional risk to you when you visit for other medical issues. We have strict infection prevention standards in place.

We warmly welcome new patients

When you enrol with us, some of the benefits include:

Enrol Online

There’s no need to come into the clinic, you can enrol online - it’s secure and confidential. The online form will guide you and you will need to upload suitable identification:  Enrol Here Online

Paper Enrolment

Paper enrolment forms are still available if you're not able to complete the online form. For each person enrolling, simply print and complete:  the Enrolment Form, an Adult or Child Medical Questionnaire and email all files to including a copy of your suitable identification

Not enrolled but need an appointment? 

You can still get an appointment even if you are not enrolled with us e.g. if you’re a visitor to the region. Just phone our friendly team for a casual appointment.  Extra charges apply for casual appointments when you are not enrolled.

Thursday: 8.30am - 3.00pm

Closed weekends and all public holidays
We are closed between 1-1.30pm for lunch every day and 1- 2pm on Wednesdays for staff training

For after hours care please visit The Doctors New Lynn who are open 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3pm weekends and public holidays.

Our Team

  • Dr Kathir Sinnathamby

    Dr Kathir Sinnathamby

    Dr Kathirgamu Sinnathamby studied medicine in Colomba, Sri Lanka and was trained as an oncologist in Sri Lanka. He moved to New Zealand in 1996. After completing the New Zealand qualifying examination for foreign doctors, he started working as a GP at a rural practice. He then joined The Doctors New Lynn in 2003.

  • Dr Therese Larrson Hogman

    Dr Therese Larrson Hogman

    MB ChB

    Therése is born in Sweden and graduated with her medical degree from Lund University in 2005. She has completed 5 years of specialty training in

    General Practice and passed the voluntary GP exam with the Swedish General Practice Fellowship. In addition to 12 years of experience within General Practice, Therése has extensive experience in elderly care, managing rounds at several rest homes and working with a house call team for urgent elderly care. She has also worked in a children health and wellbeing centre on a regular basis for several years.

    In 2011 Therése had a one year OE experience and came with her family to Auckland to work for The Doctors, New Lynn. After a few years back in Sweden, she and her family decided to move back to New Zealand and Therése returned to The Doctors, New Lynn in early 2018. Therése enjoys the diversity of general practice and emphasizes a patient focused health care. Her special interests includes general medicine, paediatrics, womens health, mental illness and elderly care and she enjoys meeting patients of all age groups.

  • Dr Ona Blanks

    Dr Ona Blanks


    Dr Blanks was born in Tonga and raised on the outer island of Vavau. She speaks Tongan and has a good understanding of pacific island cultures.  She obtained her medical degree from the University of Auckland in 2007, then spent five years working in NZ hospitals in a wide range of specialties. Her passion has always been to work in general practice with a patient focused model of health care. Dr Blanks became a member of the College of General Practice in 2012. She has a wide range of interests with particular focus on women's and children's health, aged care, chronic care management and preventative medicine. Dr Blanks lives locally in Green Bay. Her husband is a physiotherapist working at the doctors New Lynn and Golf Rd. During her free time she is a busy mother to two young children.
